Come cookie notice

The Come cookie notice covers categories, retention and the cookie settings surface.

Categories

Verified: the Come site uses strictly necessary cookies for the install and support routes. Verified: anonymous analytics cookies are used for traffic measurement. Unverified: advertising cookies are not part of the verified scope.

Retention

Strictly necessary cookies last the session. Analytics cookies follow the publisher schedule. The cookie settings surface allows opt-out where applicable.

Cookie settings

The Cookie Settings button in the footer opens the cookie preferences panel. Verified: the panel saves the preference and persists it across reloads.

Retention windows - what is stored and for how long

The retention windows for each category are published below. Verified: each window is the maximum time the cookie is held on the device; the cookie is removed at the end of the window unless the user re-engages with the site. Unverified: a small buffer of up to 24 hours may apply while a session is being torn down; the buffer is not used to extend the retention window.

  • Strictly necessary. Session cookies only - removed when the browser tab is closed or the user logs out.
  • Anonymous analytics. Publisher schedule, typically 30 days. Aggregated, no per-user profile is built.
  • Preference cookies. Persistent, removed only when the user opens Cookie Settings and clears the preference, or when the user clears browser storage.

How to use the Cookie Settings surface

The Cookie Settings button in the footer opens the cookie preferences panel. Verified: the panel saves the preference to local storage and persists it across reloads; the next page load reads the saved value rather than re-prompting. Unverified: cookies set by third-party surfaces (such as the verified install iframe) are governed by their own notices and are not affected by the Come Cookie Settings panel.

What the panel does:

  1. Strict only (default). Keeps only strictly necessary cookies. The site works for browsing and the verified install path; analytics and preference cookies are off.
  2. All optional on. Enables anonymous analytics and preference cookies. The site remembers locale, theme and the last visited section.
  3. Reset. Clears the saved preference and re-prompts on the next page load.
Privacy questions. Open a ticket at /contact/ with the cookie category, the device and the timestamp on the cookie row that disagrees. The Cookie Settings panel is read-only for end users; it does not expose backend identifiers.
